  1. Rock auto will rip you off, send you the wrong part and tell you to return it then deny your refund

  2. I have a 2000 Chevy s10 with about 190k miles. I don’t want a new car. I take care of this little truck. I’m gonna get 300k miles. I buy most of my oil filters and air filters, synthetic oil and fluids at walmart super tech.

  3. Thanks Gary! Very informative. Just my experience and what I’ve heard: radiators from China are fine; batteries from Korea are not; for sensors, water/fuel pumps, etc, try to get OEM (hopefully you don’t get screwed). Just as a 2003 Honda Civic owner, I try to use Japanese and German parts though I know it could still be made elsewhere. Bosch for my plugs and Denso for my coils as two examples. I figure they do some due diligence. Although I don’t like to get screwed on price, I order my sensors mainly via Honda dealers spread across the States. For simple stuff, I generally go cheap (lights for instance).
If you are short on cash, you may have to schlep out to the junkyard. I did that once, and the Honda on the list was either somewhere else in the yard or was gone. It can be hell when the weather is rough too. It’s tough being broke or trying to save a dime sometimes.
