  1. So I added the Power Stop Z36 brake and rotor kit which are carbon ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors to my 2011 Yukon which had very minor performance upgrades and the braking difference from solid oem brakes to the power stops are night and day. I use that truck for long distance trips and after a couple hours of driving the oem brakes would get soft resulting in longer braking which started worrying me. After the upgrade the truck stops like a sports car. I take a 5hr trip every other month and I never get a soft pedal and the length of my stops are much shorter no matter how hard or normal I drive. There awesome brakes. Heat is the main issue with brakes. With the drilled and slotted rotors the brakes doesn’t heat up like a solid rotors. So I bought the same set of brakes for my 04 GMC Sierra which I use for towing and hauling cars and trailers and the brakes are amazing. The stopping power is always there and I never get a soft pedal. Long story short, I highly recommend drilled and slotted rotors with a carbon ceramic pad. Even carbon pads are great. No brake dust either.

  2. The reason I use drilled and slotted rotors is to save gasoline and improve my mpg. With the metal being removed by putting groves and holes you will save that in the rotor weight. 1oz to 3oz lighter per rotor = less weight to be hauling around.

  3. I got cross drilled, vented &, slotted disks for my ’02 Town Car Cartier & they make a shit ton of difference for daily drivin in Brooklyn N.Y.😏
